Training & Workshops NyE Communities Coalition (NyECC) provides a variety of workshops and training opportunities for organizations and businesses including information for substance use/abuse prevention, healthy communities, grant writing and organizational enhancement.
Workshops and trainings can increase an organizations capacity and help organizations receiving prevention dollars maintain their prevention education hours required by the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Agency (SAPTA). NyE Communities Coalition and partnering education providers have the opportunity to apply for and grant SAPTA , POST , Nursing, Physicians and LADC CEU’s.
NyECC provides general workshops and trainings at no or low cost to NyECC member organizations and can develop specialized workshops to help meet individual and organizational needs.
Past workshops have dealt with building capacity, adventure based team building, group development and leadership, the development of addictive/compulsive behaviors, perceptual learning styles, personality preferences and their impact on the workplace (based on the Myer’s-Briggs Type Indicator-MBTI), Alcohol Server/Seller Training, personal/professional development , grant writing and non-profit management, drug awareness and recognition.
